Allowance for school

The allowance for school (ARS) can help parents finance the costs related to the school year.

If you have at least one dependent child aged 6 to 18, and according to your resources, you can claim the LRA. But hurry, this is to be paid during the second half of August.

You may be wondering what are the conditions for the 2011/2012 school year? Two criteria are considered: the age of your child / children (s) and resources 2009.

Concerning children, they must be born between September 16, 1993 and December 31, 2005.

In the case of a young child, it must already be enrolled in primary school.

If it is an older child and works, his compensation should not exceed € 836.55 per month.

Resources regarding your 2009 (or your net income for 2009), they should not exceed a certain threshold: € 22,970 for one child, € 28,271 for two children, € 33,572 for three children (add € 5,301 per additional child). In the event that your assets exceed the ceiling for your number of children, the ARS will be reduced.

The amount of ARS depends on the age of the child. It is between € 284.97 and € 311.11.

If you are already a beneficiary to the CAF (Caisse d'Allocation Home), you do not have steps to take if not, hurry up to download this file before returning to your CAF.

You finally reach the ARS? So hurry up to buy school bags and pencils before the big day.
